World's largest hotel - First World Hotel at Genting Highlands, Malaysia

Malaysia now have the distinction of having the world's largest hotel - the First World Hotel at Genting Highlands, which have 6,118 rooms. It has beaten the previous record hotel, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, which have 5,044 rooms.

This is recognised by the Guiness World Records. In line with the recognition, the hotel is offering a special RM1 (USD 0.28) stay at the hotel from January 2 to March 29, 2007 if you book a buffet dinner, international show or outdoor theme park package from now till 31 January 2006. Malaysia used to have the world's tallest tower - Petronas twin tower. Now it has been beaten to third place by Tapei 101. However, it can still claim to be the tallest twin towers in the world.
