MAS (Malaysia Airline System) has a 3 times a week flight to Newark Liberty International Airport, near Jersey City, with a stopover at Stockholm. The return fare is RM4757 (USD1362) at the time of writing. Newark is just next to Jersey City.
Jersey City lies on the west bank of the Hudson River across from New York City, and is part of the New York metropolitan area. It is a commercial, industrial and manufacturing center and a port of entry with 11 miles of waterfront. Its advantage lies in its nearness to the island of Manhattan, and many of its companies are extension of business headquartered in Manhattan.
Jersey City has much to offer visitors. You can visit the famous status of freedom and democracy - the Statue of Liberty by boarding a Circle Line ferry at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. The ferry also stop at Ellis Island where there is the Ellis Island Immigration Museum and you can learn about how over 12 millions of immigrants from around the world began their new lives in America.
If you are interested in Science, Jersey City has a Liberty Science Center with interactive exhibits, live animals and America's largest IMAX dome theater. Liberty Science Center is currently undergoing an expansion and renovation project and is scheduled to re-open in July 2007, but it has a temporary Riverside location in the Central Railway Terminal of New Jersey building in Liberty State Park.

At the Jersey City Waterfront District, you can get to see a beautiful view of the New York skyline. This is also where Jersey City meets the Hudson River. From here, you can catch a PATH subway train, a ferry or perhaps even a water taxi to the famous Manhattan in just a few minutes where among the towering offices and apartment buildings along Washington Boulevard, you can find some famous restaurants. A short walk from the PATH subway or light rail station takes you to excellent shopping at the Newport Mall where sales tax is just 3%.
At Jersey City, you can have a taste of Asia at Indian Square where you can get Indian food, groceries, clothing like saris, salwars and sherwanis, movies and music, jewelry, authentic Indian home-cooked food, books and magazines.
