Dayabumi Complex, Kuala Lumpur



Dayabumi Complex in Kuala Lumpur consists of a podium housing a shopping mall plus a 36 storey tower housing various offices among which is the Malaysia Intellectual Property Corporation or PHIM (Perbadanan Harta Intelek Malaysia). PHIM is the body which patents, industrial designs, trademarks and geographical indicators.

Dayabumi is the first Malaysian skyscraper which was built using the fast track steel frame construction method instead of the slower reinforced concrete which enabled the building to be completed in 26 months when the conventional construction method would have taken at least 44 months.
