According to TheStar online newspaper, the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) or Jabatan Hasil Negara has extended the dateline to submit the Income Tax Return, Form BE for individual taxpayers and June 30 for business taxpayers.
It seems that the IRB wants to encourage taxpayers to use e-filing. However, IRB spokesman said the 30 April dateline stay and the extension is a grace period and encourages taxpayers to not do it at the last minute
